Questions and Answers:

1.  Will there be work done below the median water line?

Answer: Bridge abutments are the only items that could possibly extend below the median waterline of the creek, but it is doubtful. Preliminary engineering, final alignment decisions and soil samples will determine if any of the abutments will extend below the waterline, which is mostly low and not flowing.  For the purposes of the RFQ, assume the abutments will be above the water line.

2.  When will the top firms be notified to submit their fees?

Answer: We anticipate notification of the top firms by July 19, with a two-week turnaround to submit their fees; August 2.

3.  Will the project include Master Plan for the whole three phases?

Answer: The project, funded with Cycle 6 ATP,  will focus on design and construction of the Phase 1 segment, although the consultant should become familiar with and consider the Phase 2 segment in design decisions.  An application for the Phase 2 segment was submitted to the ATP Cycle 7.
