Lead and Copper Service Line Inventory

Groveland Community Services District (GCSD) is committed to providing high quality drinking water to our customers. As required by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, GCSD completed an inventory on the customer-owned portion of service lines and an inventory on the GCSD-owned portion of service lines in 2024. Both inventories determined there were no lead service lines.

Groveland Community Services District has completed the initial lead service line inventory required by U.S. EPA’s Lead and Copper Rule Revisions. The deadline for the initial inventories was October 16, 2024. GCSD submitted the inventory on November 7, 2024.

GCSD reviewed all applicable sources of information, including:

  • Construction and plumbing codes, permits, and existing records or other documentation which indicates the service line materials;
  • Water system records, including distribution system maps and drawings, historical records, meter installation records, historical capital improvements, engineering standard details, and standard operating procedures; and
  • Inspections and records of the distribution system that indicate service line material, including inspections conducted during the course of normal operations.
  • Visual inspection of the service lines at the meter pit.
